Brief History
In 2021, Lou Kennedy announced the opening of Nephron Nitrile, LLC, with a $150 million investment. A plant that would manufacture medical-grade nitrile gloves and generate 250 jobs in Lexington County, SC.
While our competitors stood up manufacturing in leased facilities, the Kennedys built a best-in-class production facility from the ground up in their home state of South Carolina.

We launched Nephron Nitrile in 2021 to reduce American dependence on foreign sources of critical personal protective equipment (PPE). It is our goal to provide you with the highest quality exam and general purpose nitrile gloves.

As a Woman-Owned enterprise, Nephron Nitrile will help to onshore the production of PPE with a new manufacturing facility in Lexington County, SC. The glove production plant represents an investment in domestic manufacturing committed to supply chain assurance for Americans.
